iGoozex is currently on hold indefinitely since Goozex.com's API is not functioning. This has been an ongoing issue and I hope to have iGoozex back in the App Store as soon as the API is at a point where developers can use it again. Unfortunately this is affecting every developer working with the feeds.

The Go series updates are still a work in progress, unfortunately having been put on hold temporarily while I work on some freelance projects. I do not have an ETA on the updates although a late summer release is my target.

Thanks again to everyone who purchases and especially those who report bugs and features requests. Keep 'em coming!

Sale and Updates coming to Hiragana Go & Katakana Go

Two items of note regarding the Go series this week:

Firstly, both titles are currently on sale for $0.99 (regularly $1.99) through Saturday, April 24, 2010. You can grab one or both through the following links: Hiragana Go and Katakana Go.

Additionally, title updates are in the pipeline. I'm currently working on some major new features for the series. These include custom sets (only review the kana you need to work on), quiz mode, and some minor functional improvements. More on these as we get closer to an official release.

iGoozex Issue

Every developer of Goozex apps for all platforms is currently dealing with some unexpected bugs in the API as provides by Goozex.

It should be a rule of thumb that if you're going to be selling shirts at a gaming convention, you bring exponentially more XXL and XL shirts than you do the smaller sizes. Everyone I spoke to was sold out of larger sizes (especially XXL) by the end of the first 24-36 hours. Luckily I only need an XL these days.

The coolest hoodies were the ones MS was handing out (the same ones that the Avatar codes will get you on XBL).

The venue was WAY too small. The keynote was packed and many people had to be turned away. Glad to see they are moving to the larger of the convention centers next year.

Everyone was using Tritton headsets on their gaming stations.

Microsoft (and games that are coming out for their console) was the king of the show. Nintendo was around. Sony was almost nowhere to be seen.

Those Sumo chairs in the gaming lounges are amazing.

Samurai Boston has excellent sushi and Korean food.

The complete overhaul of iGoozex seems to be going smoothly. Speed is much improved when requesting lists and searching in general. I haven't begun to truly tackle a new UI yet, so nothing to speak of in that regard yet.

No estimate on a release date yet. It will be done when it's done. :)

iGoozex and the future

Just a quick note that I've begun a complete overhaul of iGoozex (I'll tentatively dub this version 3) for both the iPhone/iPod branch and the upcoming iPad. Just a minor update to bring support to earlier version of the iPhone OS. Now everyone using 2.0+ can download and run the app without issue.
