Redesign of the iGoozex icon

As I begin to work on the frame of a new iGoozex version (there is little more I can actually do without the Goozex.com API being fixed, which is outside of my control), one of the first things I wanted to tackle was a quick remodel of the app icon. Since iGoozex was last updated, we've seen the release of the iPhone 4's retina display. The old icon looked very muddy on the newer high-res screen, and I've also wanted to move away from having the Goozex logo itself on the icon.

Here's the new icon as it stands now (on an iPhone 4 display). Simpler, cleaner, and just the Goozex monster all by his lonesome. What do you think?

The old icon, for comparison:

Development Going Smoothly

Just wanted to put up a quick post since I tend to drop off with posting during development time.

The complete overhaul of iGoozex seems to be going smoothly. Speed is much improved when requesting lists and searching in general. I haven't begun to truly tackle a new UI yet, so nothing to speak of in that regard yet.

No estimate on a release date yet. It will be done when it's done. :)

iGoozex and the future

Just a quick note that I've begun a complete overhaul of iGoozex (I'll tentatively dub this version 3) for both the iPhone/iPod branch and the upcoming iPad. Not sure if I'm going to stick with making it a Universal release (iPhone and iPad in one) or split the two to take advantage of the specific interface designs on both platforms.

iGoozex 1.1.1 - Party time in the EU

Today saw the release of version 1.1.1 of iGoozex on the iPhone App Store. The one and only major new feature is that Goozex EU users can now access their accounts. Other than that, this is still the 1.1 release that users in the US and Canada have been using for a week or so.

Everything is "Go" for 3.0

As of May 11, I've tested all three of my apps that are currently on the App Store (and the updates that are in the review process) and have found zero crashes/errors on the 3.0 firmware. iGoozex, Hiragana Go, and Katakana Go should all make the transition to the new 3.0 firmware smoothly for everyone using them. If anyone experiences any oddities, please let me know
