Development Going Smoothly

Just wanted to put up a quick post since I tend to drop off with posting during development time.

The complete overhaul of iGoozex seems to be going smoothly. Speed is much improved when requesting lists and searching in general. I haven't begun to truly tackle a new UI yet, so nothing to speak of in that regard yet.

No estimate on a release date yet. It will be done when it's done. :)

iGoozex and the future

Just a quick note that I've begun a complete overhaul of iGoozex (I'll tentatively dub this version 3) for both the iPhone/iPod branch and the upcoming iPad. Not sure if I'm going to stick with making it a Universal release (iPhone and iPad in one) or split the two to take advantage of the specific interface designs on both platforms.

iGoozex 1.1.1 - Party time in the EU

Today saw the release of version 1.1.1 of iGoozex on the iPhone App Store. The one and only major new feature is that Goozex EU users can now access their accounts. Other than that, this is still the 1.1 release that users in the US and Canada have been using for a week or so.

Everything is "Go" for 3.0

As of May 11, I've tested all three of my apps that are currently on the App Store (and the updates that are in the review process) and have found zero crashes/errors on the 3.0 firmware. iGoozex, Hiragana Go, and Katakana Go should all make the transition to the new 3.0 firmware smoothly for everyone using them. If anyone experiences any oddities, please let me know

Kickstarter and supporting iGoozex development

I recently stumbled upon Kickstarter, a new "crowdfunding" site that allows a project to be funded by donation in return for whatever the person behind the project wants to offer. I've decided to give it a test run (thanks to Andy Baio for the invite) and am asking for some donations to help offset some of the costs associated with developing iGoozex. Contrary to popular reports, developing for the iPhone does not give me the opportunity to quit my day job. :)

Of course, no one has to donate anything if they don't want to. I will keep developing iGoozex for the forseeable future, but any help will be greatly appreciated. You can check out the project at kickstarter.com.
